Raccoon - Dexterity, Disguise & Protector
The raccoon is famous for the mask that it wears. Masks are used all over the world as a sacred symbol in ceremony’s, celebrations and magical practices. The mask is a wonderful tool of transformation, it can hide your true identity, or it may let your true identity show. The mask gives the raccoon the power of disguise and secrecy, and it wears the mask for a variety of purposes. Raccoons love to explore and their nighttime expeditions are mini adventures. They explore and examine anything that fascinates them. The paws of a raccoon are dexterous, they can open lids, latches, doorknobs and almost anything that they are not suppose to get in to. This along with the mask gives them a reputation for thievery.
They are fascinated by water, which gives their dexterous paws more sensitivity to feeling their food. Raccoons eat almost anything. Therefore they can live in city conditions as well as a nature environment. Raccoons are courageous and experts at self-defense. They are a generous protector and provider for the young, weak and elderly. Their young remain in the nest for a 20-week period, after which it can take care of itself. If a Raccoon has come into you life now it is asking for your inner warrior to come out. To plan long term for the next 20 weeks and to be a generous provider for those in need. Embrace this time of transformation and change, and let your identity be known or hidden. Nancy Arruda
