The Square
A Square is an aspect of 90 degrees (with an orb of 7 degrees). One of the planets enforces the other one to act in extreme ways, causing all kinds of obstacles and challenges. We may chose to work with the energy of a square in two ways. If we chose to work with this energy constructively, it urges us into taking action to overcome the obstacles. If used destructively, it will cause frustration and maintain the presence of the challenge or obstacle. Keywords: Challenging, conflicting, obstacles, tension, dynamic action, turning points, 'USE INTERNAL CONFLICT TO BRING ABOUT CHANGE” It is important to note whether the square is cardinal, fixed or mutable.
Other Note-worthy Squares!T-SquareThe T-square is when 3 planets are involved, 2 are opposite and one is Square the opposition. The focal point is the Square planet. (Note the quality of the T-square).
Grand Square or Grand CrossA Grand Square (also called: Grand Cross) is when there are 4 planets involved. There are 2 pair of oppositions, and 4 squares. In the Natal chart we are speaking of a person that is capable of focusing a tremendous amount of effort and activity. (Again look to the qualities that they are placed into).
