Chakra Basic's
Energy is everywhere, and in everything there is energy. We have centers in our body that are the conductors for this energy. These energy centers are called Chakras (Wheels of Light). There are seven major Chakra Centers plus many, many more minor ones. Through these centers we take in and send out energetic vibrations on many different levels (such as Physical, Mental, Emotional, and Spiritual). If we look at just the seven major Chakra centers we can find within our lifestyles what we are trying to transform. Each Chakra has a colour association and each colour also has a vibration. Let me give you a basic overview of each of the major seven Chakras and what types of energy they relate to… The Base or Root Chakra. (Red)
This is found in our body at the base of the spine. It is our connection to the element of the Earth and all that we are trying to manifest in this reality. It is our “Right to Have”. This is the center that we store our “Core Beliefs”, or our “Primal Urge”. It holds the beliefs of the ‘tribe’ or the family. And our desire to be in alignment with the tribe, even if it is not healthy for us to be in that belief system. Our main issues for this Chakra is that of “Survival”. The goals for this Chakra are that of Stability, grounding, prosperity, right livelihood and physical health. If it is malfunctioning you may experience, obesity, hemorrhoids, constipation, anorexia, knee troubles, bone disorders, frequent illness in general, frequent fears, inability to focus, inability to be still on physical level, and difficulty in manifesting physical goals. This center is found in our body in our reproductive center or the navel area. It is our connection to the element of Water and all that we are feeling on an emotional level. It is our “Right to Feel.” The main issues of this Chakra is that of sexuality and emotions. Most of humanity does not express their emotions in a healthy way. The goal of this Chakra is in alignment with the Fluidity of movement, pleasure and our connection. If it is malfunctioning you may be experiencing, stiffness, sexual problems, isolation, emotional instability or numbness, lower back pain and financial problems. More... The Solar Plexus. (Yellow)
This center is found at our stomach level, just located below the Heart. It is connected to the element of Fire and all that we must do or not do. It is our “Right to Act”. Our main issues for this Chakra are Power and Energy. The goals is that of vitality, strength of will, sense of purpose, and our effectiveness. If it is malfunctioning you may be experiencing, ulcers, timidity, domination, fatigue, digestive problems, authority issues, and fears of doing or not doing. More... The Heart Chakra. (Green)
This center is found at the heart in the physical body. The element of this Chakra is Air, and it is the bridge between our Lower-Self (Red, Orange & Yellow) and our Higher-Self (Blue, Indigo & Violet). This is the area of life where we have the “Right to Love”. The main issues of this Chakra are Love and relationship. The goals are Balance in relationship and with self, compassion and self-acceptance. If it is malfunctioning you may be experiencing, loneliness, codependence, a lack of love for others or yourself and victim consciousness. Over active heart Chakras include doing everything you can for those you love out of love and avoid giving back to yourself. This too is not a healthy function of the heart. More... This center is found at the Throat. The element of this Chakra is Ether, Sound. Its main issue is that of communication. This Chakra rules our “Right to Speak”. Its goals are Self-expression, harmony with others, spiritual will, good communication, resonance with self and others. If it is malfunctioning you may be experiencing, sore throats, stiff neck, poor communication, and fear moving forward. More... The Brow Chakra or Third Eye. (Indigo)
This center is found at the brow area between the two eyes. The element of this Chakra center is Light. This is where we have the “Right to See”. The main issue is that of Visual perception, imagination, intuition, and clairvoyance. The goal of this Chakra is the ability to perceive patterns and to ‘see’. If it is malfunctioning you may be experiencing, headaches, nightmares, hallucinations and are worried about tomorrow or the future (or put a lot of focus on the future instead of today). More... This center is found at the crown area or top of the head. It is our connection to our Divine self. The element of this Chakra is Thought. Here is where we hold the “Right to Know”. The main issues is Understanding, and the goal is Expanded Consciousness. If it is malfunctioning you may be experiencing, confusion, apathy, being overly intellectual, lack faith and trust. More...
