How to Smudge ObjectsEverything is made up of energy. Anything that is made of energy has an aura or energetic field around it. When someone touches an object, it leaves and energetic fingerprint in the ‘aura’ of the item. When we buy a piece of jewellery or crystal, there are energies contained within its Aura from all of those who have handled the item before you. To set only your vibration to the item, you will need to clear away everyone else’s first. For ceremonial tools or sacred objects it is also recommended that you smudge or consecrate the item before using in a ceremony. Start with the preparations. Start with smudging the room that you will be working with and follow the directions for smudging your house or business Only keep in mind that you are only doing a room.
When you are finished placing smudge on your charcoal please do not through out the charcoal for 24 hours. Normally a charcoal will last for one hour, however for fire safety, do not dispose of the charcoal for 24 hours, as there may be some heat contained within it.
