How to Smudge your Aura
When we smudge our
Aura it is
best if you have someone else to do it for you. There are places on your body
that you cannot reach comfortably. However, this can be done alone. If the
smoke is blowing away from you, gently use the feather sweeper or your hands to
guide the smoke towards your body. The smoke will go where it needs to unless
there are energies within your energy field that are causing it to blow away.
Start with the
preparations.
-
Take 3 deep relaxing breaths (inhale
and exhale) for grounding
-
Place your smudge bowl on the ground
or floor
-
Pass your left foot over the smudge,
and then your right foot
-
Pick up the smudge bowl again and
smudge the complete perimeter of your left leg (front, back and sides)
-
Below the root Chakra area, let the
bowl travel towards the right leg
-
Move the smudge in a downward motion
to the bottom of the leg and then back up again to the root Chakra area
-
Hold the bowl for a few seconds at the
root chakra
-
Slowly raise the bowl around the front
of your body, moving it in an upwards, side to side direction
-
Stop at the armpit area. Hold out
your left arm and smudge underneath it all the way to the finger tips.
-
Do the same on the right arm
-
When you get to the shoulder neck and
face area place the bowl on a table.
-
Slightly bend over the bowl and with
your hands or a feather sweeper, gently guide the smudge over both sides of
the shoulder, neck and face
-
Gently sweep the smoke over the top of
your head as well.
-
Place the bowl on the floor
-
Kneel down with the bowl being behind
you and let the smoke travel around your back
-
Take 3 deep relaxing breaths (inhale
and exhale) for grounding
-
Mentally release all that is not in
alignment with your Higher-Self.
Remember that one small spoon of smudge
will not do a full body. Add the smudge to the charcoal as needed for
smouldering or creating enough smoke.
When you are finished placing smudge on
your charcoal please do not through out the charcoal for 24 hours. Normally a
charcoal will burn for one hour, however for fire safety, DO NOT DISPOSE OF THE
CHARCOAL FOR 24 HOURS, as there may be some heat contained within it.
