Beliefs on the tarot…

Many people associate different rules to the tarot. I have heard many, some quite frequent and some beliefs more bizarre or unrealistic ones. Let me say that there are NO specific laws around the tarot. For the Tarot only has as much power as you CHOOSE to give it. So if you believe that you must do something in order to handle then deck, then that belief is true to YOU.

My beliefs…

You can create your own rules and regulations to the tarot. Whatever the tarot is to you, this is YOUR TRUTH, and all that I ask of you is to respect your truth and your tarot deck. Handle your cards with respect, as I would hope that you handle yourself with respect.

Guideline for handling the Tarot…

As I said there are no rules unless you choose them. Many people ask about storage and handling abilities, so here are some guidelines. If something within this list appeals to you, then honor that appeal.

	Wrap them for storage in a silk cloth or cloth bag
	Keep them in a box (preferably wooden box as this is a grounding energy of the earth, and allows for the connectedness to the earth)
	Don’t let anyone touch your deck (not my rule that is for sure)
	Sleep with them under your pillow to attain your subconscious energy in them
	Handle them regularly so that you can infuse your energy into the deck
	Do not purchase your own deck, only receive them as a gift (when I first heard this rule I laughed. For if I waited for someone else to buy them, I would still be waiting.)

Again these are only some personal ‘beliefs’ of others when it comes to the tarot…remember what ever is true to you is your truth. If you believe, so shall it be.
