Smelling the RosesA Small Step to Developing Intuition.Recently I have had a spirit with me that goes by the name of George. He is a friendly spirit that likes to hang around light energy. He seems harmless but at times can be distracting. Well George has taken the liberty to be channeled through an acquaintance of mine. This is because he had a message for me. The message is that I need to connect more with Nature and take the time to smell the roses.
Ah yes, Time… it seems as though in today’s society there is not enough time. We are always rushing from place to place and even when we should be concentrating on what it is that we are doing we have a tendency to be thinking about what it is that we have to do. Let me think about how it is that I can take the time to smell the roses. Well for instance. I can walk past a rose bush and acknowledge its physical beauty. But to acknowledge a roses beauty, one thing that I must do is take into consideration how it smells. That is how one truly sees the beauty of a rose, by smelling it.
We need as a society to view everything with all of our senses, sight, sound, smell, taste and touch. To acquire and develop our intuition so that we can better understand it we must incorporate every angle of everything. I am not asking anyone to take this latterly unless you actually have to, I do not recommend that you go out and eat a rose bush, cause if you do you will injure your self on the thorns. But to really appreciate the gifts of the universe and the earth we must see every side, and not just see but incorporate all your sense to the best that you can without causing injury to yourself. You see because we have become a accustomed to do, do, do, we have a tendency to overlook many things in life. We go through life wondering what it is all about, but never take the time to investigate what it is all about. To me life is about the little things, and when we choose not to see the little things anymore, we choose not to look at life. For most of our intuitive messages come from simple little signs. They are not these billboards that are set up in front of us all the time. (Sometimes they may be a billboard…lol) A message can come from the form of a butterfly fluttering by. It can be the squirrel in your back yard scurrying about, or it can even come from your dog taking a nap. Look into the little things, when you take the time to do so you will see the messages that come. Once you open your eyes you will be amazed at all the little messages that life has to offer you. So smell the roses, you might not smell what you think … if you are open to receiving a different sent. Nancy Arruda
