Removing The Masks- An Exercise in the Transmutation of Fear or False Identity.
As a spiritual advisor and a highly spiritual person, it is sometimes difficult for me to open up to the pressures of this reality. However, I too am human, and many times the fear of being human often interferes with my spiritual capacities. Many people have asked me on a personal level if I can use my abilities to serve myself, and the answer is yes. However, the way to see any situation whether it be for myself or for someone else is to be emotionally detached from the situation that I am viewing. It is possible to tap into spirit for myself, but I must remain detached from the outcome. When one feels fear, there is a sense of emotional attachment, as fear is an emotion. However when we spend our energy on fear, we manifest that fear. It is through feeling love we manifest our desires. I have found a method helpful for removing the ‘masks’ of fear, and I thought if worthy to share with others on there path to finding love and peace in their day to day. For me, there are fears that reside within myself; I am no different than any other human being. When those fears take over me, I need to find an outlet for releasing them, even if I cannot at that point in time face the fear through a specific event. Why wait for an event to occur in our lives in order to face it. It is as if I need to remove the false mask of the fear, with the intention of releasing it. I have been a collector of masks for quite some time. I am fascinated by the creations that others can make. Every time I purchase a mask it represents and aspect of myself in which I have removed. An aspect that is NOT in alignment with my truth, and that no longer serves me. I am fully aware that we all are co-creators in our reality. I am on a conscious journey into co-creating my reality. I no longer find that purchasing masks are useful when in a time of fearful expression. So I have devised a new plan, I shall create them. Not create them and keep them inside, but to remove the aspect that is not serving me, when I am in an emotional stuck place, I take that emotion and let it come out through a face. I create a piece of work through my fear, and in doing so meet face to face the fear that I am eliminating from myself. For a fear is a mask that we wear, whether it be one that we wear to cover ourselves up, or one that we are using to benefit us in a negative way. The fear needs to come out of the self, out of the core of the individual, for if it remains within, it is that you are co-creating and manifesting within your reality.
I keep the object that I make as a reminder of the fear, it hangs on the wall as a symbol of removal. As a reminder that it no longer lives within me, for I have taken that energy and transmuted it into something that is useful. You may look at it and see something that may not be worth hanging on the wall. For I am not calling my self an artist by no means. However, it is a piece that I have created, one that has made space for love to flourish within. I challenge all of you out in cyberspace, if you have fear, create something with that fear in mind, and then hang it on the wall, knowing that something useful has been created out of that fear. Know that now you have taken it from within you, to the outside of you, and it will remain a reminder that it no longer lives within, therefore you will not have to attract it in your living reality.
