Universal Sky NewsSun In Taurus 2004 (April / May)On April 19, the warm of the springtime Sun moves into the Sign of Taurus at 12:51 EST. Prior to its movement into the sign of Taurus we still have some left over energy that I did not get a chance to go into in the last Newsletter. Today, before the Sun shifts signs we have a second New Moon in Aries for the Aries Month. As I have explained in the past, the New Moon is a time of starting new projects. Only we had had one already at the beginning of the Aries month (March 20th). Now we have a second New Moon in Aries only this time this New Moon is asking us to START projects that need to be COMPLETED this time around. Let me explain… In prior years or prior New Moons projects had been started but for some reason they got placed on the back burner. We did not follow through on them. With this New Moon being at 29 Degrees of Aries, it is asking us to restart something that requires completion. This energy is around embracing one’s independence, and taping into a sense of individuality. The reason this New Moon has so much impact on us, is for the simple fact that there is a Solar Eclipse happening with it. At 8:22 am EST is the New Moon and at 8:35 am EST we will be experiencing a Solar Eclipse. The energy of this Solar Eclipse will last for about six months (or until the next Solar Eclipse in November of this year). So this is not a minor project that needs to be completed, but a project or event that is asking everyone to not only start a journey, but start this journey of completion. How it impacts us on an individual level all depends on how it is interacting with one’s natal chart and progressed chart. I only have a few slots available before or shortly after this event. At 12:51pm EST the Sun then shifts into the sign of Taurus, which brings with it the second month of the spring. A time of season where the cycle of birth and growth continue, a time where patience is required so that the growth can develop at a healthy rate. For it is with patience and endurance that we see the buds on the trees pushing forth to feel the reflection of the Suns warmth. This is a month of viewing how our personal Values and Beliefs are reflected back into what we manifest within our realities. There are 2 planets to pay close attention to while the Sun is in Taurus and that is Taurus ruling planet of Venus, and the Moon (which is said to be exalted in the sign of Taurus). As noted above, just before the Sun and Moon move into the sign of Taurus we have a Solar Eclipse. There is also a Total Lunar Eclipse happening this month. Sustaining is a strong energy of Taurus, and we are being asked to sustain to what ever it is that we start to finish this month, and for the next six months. This is to be one of the most fertile and fruitful months, with the effort of steadiness as we planet our roots into the ground. As we work with the energy of the Sun and Moon, the skies are quiet until Mercury goes Direct at 21 Degrees of Aires on April 30th. It has been a long haul for many as the trickster has been retrograde for 3 weeks. I am writing this newsletter while Mercury is retrograde, so I apologize if it does not make too much sense. But as Mercury rules communication, it is quite hard for me now to ‘make sense’ of what is being typed, for the trickster is playing games with me now, as he has with everyone else. I am one to thank the heavens when Mercury goes direct for clearer thinking will come with it. Clearer communication and clearer thoughts around where we are headed within our reality. Believe me when I say…It will all be clearer, starting April 30th. On May 4th at 3:34pm EST the Moon is Full in the Sign of Scorpio and at the same time we have a Total Lunar Eclipse. There is a strong use of the Taurus - Scorpio Polarity and finding a balance in what ‘we value’ and what ‘others value’. This is a test period for the Lunar Eclipse energy is asking us to face the necessity of manifesting new ways of moving into our future. Added with the spice of Scorpio, change is afoot for most people. Where that change will be all depends on how it is intergraded into your natal chart and progressed charts. This eclipse energy is asking us to deep-sea dive, deep into the darkest underwater ocean cave, to find the grain of sand that needs to be transformed into a pearl. Remember that items found at the bottom of the ocean are weightless until it is brought to surface. Then Jupiter goes direct late on the evening of the 4th (EST) after being retrograde since January 3rd. It is now time for us to spring forward within our growth and expand to our fullest potential. This should mark the day of moving forward within you long-term projects. Health is the key here and it is time to start taking care of the physical with Jupiter going direct in the sign of Virgo. If your health routine does not require any changing then perhaps you should align your day-to-day routine to becoming healthier. Start taking some risks again. On May 7th Mars moves into the sign of Cancer until June 23rd. When Mars is in the Sign of Cancer it is considered to be in its ‘fall’, a place where its natural energies become weak or suppressed. Our motivation becomes watered down. It may speak of a time where anger arises from past-suppressed emotions or the anger has no value at all. To use this energy effectively, go out and actively pursue activities with the family. Utilize this time to express any emotions in an effective manner before it turns into secondary anger. Then we have Mercury moving into the sign of Taurus on May 16th for three weeks. Our thoughts start to shift into our stability needs. Our focus shifts into the practical and this is a good time to plan ahead for the future. Money is on the mind during the next three weeks, so use this time to plan carefully. On May 17th the ruler of Taurus goes Retrograde. Venus finds itself going backwards into a retrograde phase for six weeks. It is now a time to re-evaluate your personal values and beliefs. With our thoughts being around stability for the first 3 weeks of this transit it will aid our practical nature into following a sense of re-planning where we want to be within our hearts. Also on this day Neptune (the higher vibration of our Values and Beliefs) also goes retrograde. For everyone on this day, to try to understand what the energy is bringing, I suggest sitting down in a quiet place and take the time to meditate or write down what it is that you truly desire. What are your personal Values and Beliefs and how do you plan on achieving them. If you currently have a plan, then take a look at it and see where it can be improved. For some this may be a difficult process, so the best way is to follow the guide of spirit or the divine in a peaceful meditation. Take today off work if you can and just relax. On May 18th the New Moon is in the sky at 11:53 PM EST. It will be hard to see, but it is there. It is the first sliver of light that reflects upon the moon. This New Moon is in the sign of Taurus. Do a New Moon ritual around what you would like to stabilize in your life. Wish for practical dreams to become reality. Tie the Moon into the Earth this evening.
