Happy New Year Universe and Welcome to 2010! - Numerology of 2010 In trying to understand the vibration of 2010, I like to incorporate the numerology of the year. Adding up 2 + 0 + 1+ 0 = 3, therefore 2010 is known as a single three year, which can be a lot of fun. However; it is also a year where everyone is taping into creative energy. This is the year for those people who are creative by nature, such as; artists, designers, musicians, writers, as well as any type of creative profession you can think of. Creativity can measure up to be a lot of things and all creative projects are highlighted this year. On the negative side, when one is in the creative mind or body, there is less desire for the practical aspects within life. There is a desire to throw responsibility out the window, as following the rules goes against having fun and being creative. So one must remember, extra effort is required to follow the rules, and by doing so you can set up a dynamic for safe fun, rather then the extreme dangerous type that a lot of adventures are seeking. In the Major Arcana of the tarot, the number three card is The Empress. Mother Earth sitting grounded on her thrown, crowned in the hopes, wishes and dreams of yesterday, today and tomorrow. She represents all that we harvest in life, and the values that we live by as they are instilled by our feminine inner voice followed with an outer feminine expression. Astrologically she is ruled by the planet Venus, the Goddess of love and beauty. A Goddess who is all about the here and now and who lives by instilling the virtues and values of the personal self into the desires of those that you relate to on a one to one level. Venus has ruler ship over two signs and that is Taurus and Libra, both signs to keep an eye out for this year. It is interesting to note that there are two missing factors in this year’s addition formula, and that is 12 and 21. Both of these Major Arcana numbers also add up to three, and because we have a single 3 year, we can not forget all the other factors that are taking place. Because the 12 and 21 do not show in the formula does not mean that we are not working with the energy, on the contrary, we are working with it. However, it is operating on an unconscious level or behind the scenes, so extra conscious effort is necessary to integrate their vibrational presence in our daily life. In the tarot 12 is associated to The Hanged Man who is ruled by the planet Neptune. Here we are working with the higher values and beliefs of our Soul-self and integrating concepts that ones mind does not have the capability of understanding from the mental plane or logical and/or analytical perspective. Neptune is reminding us this year that its elements are still in effect, even if our rational mind tells us it is not. For one can not escape what the soul desires to learn while in this school we call life. Neptune is naturally ruled by the sign of Pisces and this year it continues its journey though the sign of Aquarius. The other missing factor is 21 and it is associated to The World in the tarot deck. Many people look to this card and see fulfillment, completion and reward, and that is all true. Its astrological counterpart is the planet Saturn, and most of the time when someone mentions this planet, others cringe. Keep in mind that Saturn is a necessary part of being human, for it rules the Law of Restriction, which is the point where light and thought energy is restricted into form/matter or manifestation. Through the principle of Saturn we can manifest all that we desire this year in a creative way, but it must be in alignment with the integral aspect of the Soul-self or the Higher-highest-self. Saturn is naturally ruled by the sign of Capricorn (with ancient ruler ship also associated to the sign of Aquarius) and this year Saturn is in the sign of Libra and it will retrograde back into the sign of Virgo for a short time. On this plane, the earth plane, and in human form, we try hard to make ends meet, we do what we believe is necessary to succeed in life and anchor our survival needs. Some people go beyond their survival needs and thrive, and yet some can’t even make survival happen. When we think in terms of successes everyone defines it differently, and there are some people out there who are afraid of success. Success may mean, too much hard work or the loss of something else within their life in order to obtain success, so on an unconscious level, yes they say they desire it but in truth they really don’t. There is more unconscious energy at work on the fear of success instead of the conscious application on the attainment of it. This is the year that creative energy can take off for many people, this is the year that one can soar, but one must remember to follow the rules of this earth plane, as well as work in alignment with the values and beliefs of their Soul-self. Note, that in order to understand the Soul-self, withdrawal from the active mind is necessary, so things such as meditation, relaxation, and focus on nothingness is required. Also remember that on the earth plane, manifestation happens through taking ‘right action’, action that is in alignment with the desire itself. What’s Up Universe? Astrological Energies of January 2010Have you been feeling the emotional undercurrent? Well there is a vibrational resonance that is seeping in from last year, one that we can not so easily turn off just because we have entered into what we call a new year. On December 31st, 2009 we experienced a lunar eclipse, and a powerful one at that. Not only was this eclipse in the Moons ruling sign of Cancer, giving it much more power and strength, but it was also a Blue Moon. A Blue Moon takes place when there are two Full Moons that happen within a calendar month and it is the second Full Moon of the month, which adds more of a transformational theme into the mix. Additionally there was even more of an emotional impact on us because it was very close to the earth. If you happened to look into the night sky you would have seen a Full Moon that looked very large from our perspective here on earth. The lunar eclipse took place at 10 Degrees of Cancer 15 Minutes; this eclipse is working with clearing one’s personal foundation, family issues, root issues, and things that transpire within ones private life. Anything that is stopping or blocking you from having a strong foundation will become evident to you during this time. We are also being shown where we need to nurture ourselves more. Its partnering eclipse is the Solar Eclipse which takes place at 25 Degrees of Capricorn 01 Minutes, on January 15th, 2010. Asking one to become aware of what is standing in the way of your successes and ambitions in life. Capricorn is associated to building, structures, authority, career and our public life. On a more individualized level we need to tap into the ability to perceive the hidden and creative spirit of nature. Being a year associated to the earth element, and the creative potential within that (integrating creative potential as the water element, water being a part of the earth) we must become aware of the great cycles within life and the flow of those cycles. Many things take place on a practical level, rain, ice etc… yet we forget to look at the spiritual significance of what that is telling us within the great cycle. The earth is changing at its most fundamental levels, thus impacting our small portion of the human existence upon the earth itself. (Typically as a human we believe that we are bigger then what we are but in the Universal spectrum we are actually very, very small). However, our impact upon the earth is great, and we are starting to notice the damage that has been done over time, damage done not as one human being, but damage that has been done based on the grand levels of government, society, corporations etc… all of this is given ruler ship to Capricorn. It is time now to consciously focus upon the changes that we need to make at a grand level, at the top of the government, and corporations so that we can ensure a healthy existence for the generations to come. The underlying water element is reminding us of the psychic forces at play, the forces that we are not in control of as human beings but the forces that are being driven by a higher power, and that is the power that holds the Universe together. As the universe speaks to us all, we are at a point within our reality to start listening to the messages from the macro (the universe and beyond) being delivered to the micro (us humans on earth). On January 13th, 2010 Saturn (the natural ruler of Capricorn) stations retrograde at 04 Degrees of Libra 39 Minutes, giving everyone the opportunity to look into what they have created within their relationships (Libra) and personal interactions with others. As we work with the current structures we are given the opportunity to look backwards being shown that over time one shall see the truth of creation and the only way to create in a different way is to plant new seeds into the generations of tomorrow. Not only the generations that are in existence today, but the ones to come. For what we have been teaching them to this point is but an illusion of grander; filled with false hope. Saturn will retrograde back into the sign of Virgo before its retrograde is complete, but that is another month’s topic. Also on this day egos will be awakened in a subtle way as the Sun sextile Uranus transpires. Innovative ideas will hit the table stimulating mental excitement as people join together for change along a specific cause or purpose. Many will question the dynamic; however one will only know if it has relevance through the process of taking action towards bringing improvement to the whole. The month of January brings in other shifts of energy, as Jupiter the planet of growth and abundance moves into the sign of Pisces on January 17th, 2010. With Jupiter in Pisces, the dynamic shifts into the unconscious. As we all work with the Universal Laws, Jupiter in Pisces states that the LOA moves underground, aligning with the vibrations that are taking place in the unconscious mind. For any one who has been actively working towards conscious co-creation, let go of the reins and allow the divine to drive for a while, as it may seem like one may not be in control of the directions that they are taking. Spiritual growth shall rein for the next few months as we all let go and let god show us the path of least resistance. One may find themselves on an intuitive search for truth, and traveling inward into the mind and heart is where all the answers lie, for the truth is not outside of the self at all, it is within the self. Meditation may be called for, allowing someone in, a spiritual teacher, guide or guru to assist you with finding your own personal truth until you the student becomes their own teacher by understanding how your unconscious mind works with you through symbolism and imagery and gaining creative understanding on symbolic communication of the deeper mind. As one moves forward on their own spiritual journeys, additionally you may find that you are assisting others on their path, being and becoming the champion of the underdog. On Jan 31, 2010 Saturn in Libra square Pluto in Capricorn takes place, a challenging (yet rewarding in the long run) aspect, where everyone is being asked o move out of their comfort zones. We are being asked to shine a light on our inner nature and take a look at the dark side within the self that requires illumination. Once one notices what changes are required within the structures they have built then they can move forward with implementing the change necessary for growth. It may feel like one is stepping into unknown territory, which most people view as frightening, however here is where we are at choice to feel something different, for anything that is new can also be exciting once the excess baggage that you carry around has been lifted off your shoulders. Buy the end of this period one can feel quite rejuvenated, and somewhat freer of the imposed restrictions that are around them.
