What's Up Universe?…Happy New Year; A Look into 2012!

To understand the vibration of 2012, I always like to do the numerology for the year. 2+0+1+2=5. Being a global five-year, humanity is integrating the principle of teaching and learning. We can associate this vibration on a conscious level to the number five. The number five reflects the Major Arcana in the Tarot as The Hierophant card. It's astrological Association is the sign of Taurus and it represents; social and cultural education, the freedom of choice, and learning from authority. The number that is not found in our formula is the number 14 (which when added together 1+4 =5). Therefore the unconscious vibration of this year is the number 14, which then reflects to Temperance in the Major Arcana of the Tarot. Highlighting the unconscious or higher vibrations of us learning through spiritual education, the freedom of action, and learning by experience. Astrologically temperance is associated to this sign of Sagittarius.

So when trying to understand the vibrations of 2012, we look to the astrological signs this year of Taurus and Sagittarius. What's happening in those signs? Well first of all, The universal teacher of abundance, growth, and spiritual/life experience, the planet Jupiter (who rules the sign of Sagittarius) can be found in the sign of Taurus for the first half of 2012. Jupiter officially entered into the sign of Taurus on June 4, 2011, it retro grated on August 30, 2011 and 10° of Taurus 21 min. and then shift to direct on December 25, 2011 at 00° of Taurus. So we started the new year with Jupiter being at 00° Taurus direct and continues to move forward completing its journey in the sign of Taurus just before it shifts into the sign of Gemini on June 11, 2012.

Transiting Jupiter in Taurus assist us through understanding the lessons associated to our personal values and beliefs. On a mundane level, it is those lessons that we are learning in association with making money or gaining wealth. Over the past through few years the economy in North America has taken a nosedive, and Jupiter in Taurus allows us the opportunity to understand why this has transpired. Aside from just understanding we must look at how we have driven our own independent needs for financial well-being (or lack of). What authoritative measures have you taken as an individual over the last few years in regards to your financial portfolio? What experiences have you had in the last few years that mirror your values and beliefs? How much have your lessons cost you? The first portion of 2012, allows each individual the opportunity to answer these questions through the process of assimilation and integration. It is time to heal your money story! What do you need to do to bridge the gap between where you are now and where you desire to be financially?

Of course Taurus doesn't just represent our finances, but it represents our personal values and beliefs. When our personal values and beliefs are misaligned, it is reflected in our financial portfolio. If our personal values and beliefs are aligned, then one will have the opportunity to say, that their financial portfolio is where they desire it to be. When we change our personal values and beliefs that change is reflected in our personal finances. Society, has changed their own independent values and beliefs, and it is showing in our current economic structure.

I'm not trying to project the outcome of the world's economic structure. Only bringing to your attention that when people change their beliefs, so they change the economy.

Another connection of the numerology-astrological vibrations of 2012 will be reflected through the planet Saturn. As the karmic teacher, Saturn will be shifting into the sign of Scorpio on October 5, 2012. You might ask what does Scorpio have to do with Taurus or Sagittarius? The answer is twofold. No sign works independently but always interacts with its polar opposite sign. In this particular case Scorpio is the polar opposite of Taurus. This allows humanity to make adjustments in how they work with the vibration of Scorpio, which represents of other people's money, other people's values and beliefs (vs. personal money or someone's personal values and beliefs). With this particular vibration there may be a potential to see how lenders change their abilities to collect or loan money out to individuals. Additionally, this may be seen as a letting go period, where many individuals may just let go of what they own or what they owe! The second connection is that of the sign of Scorpio being beside the sign of Sagittarius, when we focus on two signs being side by side, know that they work together with a 'karmic completion of integrating authority' type of vibe. More on Saturn later in the year.

Who knows exactly what will transpire, who knows how humanity shall heal, there are many ways to interpret these vibrations, there are many ways for us to achieve freedom, whether it is through our choices, imagination, or the adventures that we may choose, the vibration of five is the coming of the new age, the New Age is the age of LIGHT. Tap into the vibration of unconditional love, act with kindness, tapping into your resourcefulness, look for the symbols, expand on every opportunity, and allow your self to tell your own story in 2012!

Vibrationally, Mars also represents our desires, ambitions, sexual energies, force, power, strife, competition, anger, destruction, aggression, it is our self-expression, our personal drive, our courage and our urge to lean. Needless to say competitive issues are driven to an all-time high, and our desire to win is put to the top of the priority list. One of the biggest things that I notice when Mars retrograde transpires is anger. Typically, one represses anger, but during a Mars retrograde, repression is out of the question. This is when one will notice huge surges of anger and aggression coming from the masses. Of course on a positive note, the purpose to Mars retrograde is to recognize those repressed emotions held deep within the self. We are given the opportunity to see what our triggers are, so that we can, release them, align within the self and get a better grasp on reality. I looked into the specific vibrations of this Mars retrograde and any issues around innocence or the destruction of innocents will be huge triggers during this time period.

This particular Mars retrograde under the vibration of learning and teaching, is supporting us all to utilize the conscious effort of being the calm in the center of the storm. The wind is blowing all around… Are you going to get sucked up? Or, are you going to remain with both feet on the ground? In the sign of Virgo I can see the Earth's dirt flying up with the wind. I question why in this metaphor am I referencing the wind? Through further investigation into what is transpiring astrologically the day Mars goes retrograde, I noticed there are several air signs being activated. The Sun in Aquarius, the Moon in Aquarius (New Moon in Aquarius transpires that day as well, where the Sun and the Moon align in the universe and seeds are planted for growth), Pallas Athena, the intellectual warrior is in Aquarius, and Neptune completes its journey at 29° of Aquarius (prior to it's official shift into the sign of Pisces on Feb 3, 2012). On top of that we also have Saturn in the air sign of Libra (oh and that is 29° of Libra) and of course humanity is using the gift of information with the South Node at 11° of Gemini. (While the unconscious expression of 2012, the North node in Sagittarius, asking us to look at the bigger picture and the spiritual purpose behind what we are learning… But that doesn't have anything to do with this article, just an observation of another connection to Sag and 2012). So it shall be interesting to note within the self your own personal desires and ambitions, are you taking the proper steps to unleash them in your life? How are you tapping into that inner channel within yourself and driving the force forward? Are you conscious of those around you? Or are you going to just plough through them to get your way? The choice on how you handle the energy is completely up to you. The thing to consciously remember, is if anger or frustration is triggered within yourself, before you react outwardly with some dramatic display of rage… Consciously think, contemplate, dive deep into your being and discover… Why are you so angry? If you can tap into the why, then you can heal it, before you react .

This will be a healing and testing time, to test your own levels of endurance, to learn the vibration of patients, and to heal past emotions that live beneath the anger, those emotions that you may have chosen to ignore. As I said Buckle up your seatbelts, Mars will be retrograde until it stations direct on April 13, 2012. And as always more to come!
