One way is to identify with their positions in society. Such as; I am a Mother/Father, Husband/Wife...( or they are their profession); I am a Lawyer, business man / career woman, carpenter, waitress, hairstylist, etc… The Second way is that they associate who they are is by a soft skill set or a personality trait, I am compassionate, caring, honest, empathic, organized, efficient, practical, etc… Neither of which are wrong answers. But the question is “Who Am I?”. We are all born into this existence with a primary focus of being human, allowing our spiritual identity to shine or repress. We are a light, a source of energy, a piece of the Creator and in truth, the answer to the question is… “I AM”. However; in today’s society and as an individual, we are compelled to know our unique abilities, talents, soft skills and personality traits, but typically we take them for granted. We tend to let go of the pieces of ourselves that we should keep in order survive, or we take on aspects that don’t belong to us at all, and in doing so we can no longer identify with our ‘authentic nature’.
